About Us

Welcome to Flanagan's Sport's Bar and Grill. Flanagan's was built on the former Metro Lounge that included the adjacent hotel (currently Red Carpet Inn). Through the years, Flanagan's has been widened and has increased to over 13,000 square feet including 3 dining areas, a loft dining area, 2 bar areas, 2 banquet areas for 50-150 people, 2 pool tables, dart tables, chicago style bar, an outdoor smoking patio, an outdoor dining area, a gift shop with a variety of memorables for sale, and 27 HDTV plasma's playing college and professional sport games and professional matches such as boxing. Ample parking located at the premises and parking available across the street for those busier nights. Over the years, we have had many memorable patron's including athletes like Michael Jordan and Scottie Pippen, to atheletes of the Chicago Bears and others such as Barack Obama (at the time, US Senator).Our goal is to continue bringing you the highest quality food with every menu selection and great prices. We are here to make your dining experience as pleasurable as possible.

Unfortunately, we close at 2AM on Friday and Saturday, leaving many of our customers hungry for breakfast after a long night dancing in our bar area and 2 dance floors when the establishment becomes an active late night club on the weekends. The fun does not have to stop there. Though our kitchen does not close until 1AM, we know that most would rather dance then eat—we fully understand. Our solution is our other restaurant located 1-2 minutes away on Hwy 41 just south of Flanagan’s. Full Moon restaurant has been serving the area for over 30 years, and has been a local gem for the best breakfast in town and the North Shore open 24 hours a day. Visit us at Full Moon after doors close at Flanagan’s for breakfast and good company. Directions to Full Moon Restaurant: 1/4 mile south of the intersection of Buckley Rd. and Hwy 41 on Hwy 41.

NAVY MEET & GREET

Navy Families Meet & Greet

Welcome to Chicago! We have set up a special evening for family members of graduating Navy sailors to spend with other's who are also in the area for the Navy Graduation. Please Join Us each Thursday from 5pm - 9pm, or the day before Graduation for an relaxing evening at Flanagan's where you can mingle with others in the area for the same reason, their graduating loved ones. We have set up a room specificially for the meet and greet, that will have free appetizer buffet and music. You will also receive a $10 gift certifcate for your graduate to have a meal of their choice (steaks and seafood included) after graduation. You can receive the gift certificate at the restaurant at the Meet & Greet or ask your hotel receptionist for one (Red Carpet Inn, Day's Inn, Sleep Inn, Navy Lodge, Great Lakes Motel, and participating Holiday Inn, Mariott, Residence Inn in the Great Lakes, North Chicago and Waukegan area). The Meet and Greet will include a - free appetizer buffet- music- Karaoke starting at 8:30pm - $10 Gift Certificate for navy graduatesThe Meet and Greet will begin at 5pm each Thusrday, or day before Graduation, and will end around 9pm.. We offer a huge sports bar, equipped with 27 large screen plasmas for your enjoyment. We play every NFL, NBA, MLB game, and just about any other sporting event. Just let us know what you would like to watch, and one of our staff will gladly play it for you. We are your friendly neighborhood sport’s bar and would like to have you join us as we root for our favorite teams. We also play large matches such as boxing, give us a call and we’ll let you know of upcoming larger sporting events we will be playing on our screens. We also offer a variety of special deals for our bar patrons and happy hour deals including the cheapest drafts and beer selections in the area. Serving the North Shore since 1976, John Psihos and his staff would like to welcome you to Flanagan's. We offer and wide variety of home cooked dinners and entrees. Flanagan's, where you can consider our facility an extension of your own living room. BANQUETS

Banquet Hall

The banquet hall caters to 150 persons and has a bar in the hall for your events. The private banquet hall is the perfect place for any event, from birthday parties, reunions, anniversaries, school and military events, funerals. The hall is fully furnished with large round tables fitting 8-10 persons each, a private bar with tap beer, drafts, and any alcoholic beverage you’re craving. The area is setup with speakers for your entertainment. Options include catered and self-catered food, buffet at reasonable prices per person, option for open bar, and entertainment center for music. The hall is recently renovated and includes private luxury restrooms. Let us know what you are looking for, and we will try our best to accommodate your requests. Banquet Area #2 and #3

We offer two additional rooms available for banquets.Room #2 holds 60 people in a new setting adjacent to the dining room, with the ability to increase the seating capacity to 100 people. It is a semi private and newly renovated with large round tables and square tables. Option for buffet and reasonable catering prices are available. There is a 47 inch plasma TV in the room available for entertainment or use for banquet events. Let us know what you are looking for, and we will try our best to accommodate your requests. For more information on our banquet room #2 or catering menu, please contact John or Gus at 847.689.9062.Room #3 holds 50 people in a new setting adjacent to the sports bar. It is the perfect location for a smaller gathering such as a birthday party, anniversary, bachelor or bachelorette party, etc. It is semi private and newly renovated with large round tables. Reasonable catering prices are available, or you can order right off the menu. There are two 42 inch plasma TV in the room available for entertainment or use for your party events.
